Henry Hass Hudson Henry H. Hudson, of Newburg, died Friday January 15, 1988, at Phelps County Regional MEdical Center. He was 87. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Null and Son Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Lee Roy Sadler officiating. Burial will be in the Roach Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Lola Pauline. of the home; three daughters, Naomi Norman, of Cahokia, Illinois, Della V. Clark, of Newburg, MO. Evelyn Williams of DeWitt Arkansas; four sons, William E. of Newburg, James Eulas, of East Carondolet, Illinois, Cletus Henry, of Newburg and Bobby Wayne, of Victorville, California; 24 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Mr. Hudson was a member of the California Music Association and was known to his friends in the country music world as Uncle Henry Hudson. Originally from Newburg, Mr. Hudson lived 20 years in Ontario, Calif. before returning to Newburg in 1985. Note:Mary Hudson this is the way the obituary was printed. Arkansas, and he was born in Sikeston, MO. to Benjamin and his wife Amanda (Smith), Hudson. ----------------------------------------- Campbell, Blanche Amanda (Hale) Blanche Campbell, a loving Mother and Grandmother, died Thursday, May  10th 2007 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was ninety. Mrs Campbell was born on June 15th 1917 in  the  Webb  Community  in Butler County, Missouri. She was the daughter  of  Arthur  and  Frances (Augie) Jones. Blanche was the seventh of nine children, her sister Ethel "sis" Chilton survives her.  In  1933  she  married Augustine Campbell and together they raised  ten  children:  Margaret  Alexander,  A.J. Campbell, Alan Campbell,  Aillene  Andrews,  Sue  Reeves, Alice Hancock, Barbara Markel,  Sydney  Campbell,  Carolyn  Lundry  and  Carl  Campbell. Blanche  was  loved  and  will  be  remembered  by  her seventeen grandchildren  and  eighteen  great-grandchildren as well as many nieces  and nephews. Two special sisters-in-law, Dorothy Brantley and  Katherine  Kittridge  will  also  greatly  miss her. Funeral Services  will  be  held  at  Landess  Funeral  Home in Campbell, Missouri  on  Saturday May 12th 2007. Visitation will be at 11.00 A.M.  followed by funeral services at 1.00 P.M. Burial will be in Brown's Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Campbell, Dorothy Marie Dorothy  Marie  Campbell,  62,  of Vienna, formerly of Qulin died Sunday  in  St.  Mary's  Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born  September  22nd  1920  in  Qulin. She was married to Albert Campbell  on  September  19th  1937 at Gibson. He survives. Other survivors  include  three  sisters, Trannie Moran of Fisk, Gladys Buckner  of  Drayton  Plains,  Michigan  and  Dora  Cunningham of Vienna.  The  funeral  will  be at 2.00 P.M. Wednesday at Landess Funeral  Home  in  Campbell.  Burial  will  follow  in  the Qulin Cemetery. Visitation has been set for 6.00 P.M. Tuesday. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Campbell, Reverend S A Reverend  S.  A.  Campbell was born on April 3rd 1872, and passed away  on  July 8th 1952 at the age of Eighty years, threee months and five days. He was married to Fronie Spradling on December 4th 1892.  To  this  union  were born fourteen children, thirty eight grandchildren  and  twelve great-grandchildren. Reverend Campbell was  converted  in  1893 and was a consecrated Man of God. He was called  into the ministry in 1909. He continued very successfully until he became a victim of bad health. Reverend Campbell came to Butler  County  around 1922 and here he continued his work in the ministry.  He  was  considered  as  one  whom  everyone loved and respected.  He  was  a loyal citizen, a good neighbor and one who had  the  highest  ideals  of Christian living. Reverend Campbell leaves  his  wife,  nine  children,  38  grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, three sisters and a host of relatives and friends. In Memoriam In  memory of our Dad, Reverend S. A. Campbell and Family xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Campbell, S A S.     A.  Campbell,  67,  a  retired  farmer  from  Qulin,  died unexpectedly of natural causes at 1.30 P.M. Friday at Ellsinore. He  was  working  with  the  Senior  Citizens  Community  Service assigned  to  the  Poplar Bluff Ranger District of the Mark Twain National  Forest  at the time of his death. Mr. Campbell was born on February 17th 1912 in Holcomb. He was married to Blanche Jones on  November  4th 1933 in Gibson. Survivors include his wife; six daughters,  Margaret Alexander, Sue Reeves and Alice Hancock, all of  St.  Louis,  Barbara Markel of Fayetteville, Georgia, Carolyn Potter  of Poplar Bluff and Ailene Andrews, address unknown; four sons, Teddy Campbell and Allen Campbell, both of Flint, Michigan, Carl Campbell of Clio, Michigan and Sidney Campbell of St. Louis; one  brother,  Cliff  Campbell  of Broseley; three sisters, Agnes Harris of West Plains, Dorothy Brantley of Greenville and Kathryn Kittridge of Oakland, California; seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandson. The  funeral  will be held at 2.00 P.M. Sunday in Landess Funeral Home  of  Malden. The Reverend J. R. Bruce will officiate. Burial will  be  in  Brown  Chapel Cemetery in Broseley. Visitation will begin at 6.00 P.M. Saturday. xxxxxxxxxxxxx Campbell, Thomas G. Thomas  G.  Campbell, 75, of Qulin died at 9.05 P.M. yesterday in the  Veterans  Adminstration  Hospital.  Services will be at 2.30 P.M.  tomorrow  in the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell, Missouri and burial will follow in the Qulin Cemetery. Born on August 18th 1895 in Butler County, Mr. Campbell had been a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of World War One. He belonged to the Independent Order  of  Odd  Fellows  Lodge 179 and to the American Legion. He also  promoted  the upkeep of the Qulin Cemetery. On October 30th 1918  he  married  Savannah Dye and she survives. Other survivors are  a son, T. G. Campbell, superintendent of schools at Bismark; brother,    Norman  Campbell  of  Pollard,  Arkansas,  Cliff  and Augustine  Campbell  both  of  Qulin  and Kirk Campbell of Rifle, Colorado; sisters, Mrs. Agnes Harris of West Plains, Mrs. Dorothy Brinkley   of  McGee  and  Mrs.  Kathryn  Kittridge  of  Oakland, California.  Visitation  will  begin  at  6.00 P. M. today at the funeral home. ------------------------------------------------- Junental J. (Ledbetter) DeGeare - June DeGeare June passed from this life July 16, 2009 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Fenton Missouri, after months of struggle with small cell cancer. She was born on a farm outside the town limits of Qulin, Missouri. She first started her education in Qulin completing it later in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a wife to Arthur Edward DeGeare of High Ridge Missouri for 56 years, having celebrated this anniversary date only one month, 10 days earlier. They were married in Las Vegas Nevada on June 6. June and Arthur celebrated life together with four daughters, Gloria, Sheila, Cindy and Donna; seven grand children and two great grandchildren. Following Arthur’s discharge from the marines in Barstow California, Art and June returned to High Ridge, the home of the DeGeare Family and lived the remainder of their life together is this area. June was the owner/operator of June’s Greenery florist for many years in High Ridge. She was preceded in death by her first daughter Susan Marie Wells, her parents William (Pat) Ledbetter and M. Opal McClearan (Hall, Ledbetter), a brother Kenneth Ledbetter. Following funeral services at J. B. Smith funeral home in Fenton, she will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill, Cedar Hill, Missouri. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Westbrook Eleanor Joy Sentell Westbrook, 74, of Qulin, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Born July 12, 1931, in Qulin, daughter of the late Joe Edward Davis and Stella Mae Huff Davis Burk, she was a homemaker and worked in a bank. She was of the Baptist faith. On Dec. 17, 1947, she married Harley Sentell, who preceded her in death. She married James C. Westbrook, Sr., on June 2, 1997, who survives. Survivors include two step-sons, James C. Westbrook Jr., of Qulin and Patrick John Westbrook, of Florissant, Mo.; one sister, Carolyn Stefanic and husband, Virgil, of Wild Wood, Mo., and one brother, Billy Joe Davis and wife, Eula Mae, of Jonesboro, Ark. She was preceded in death by two sons, Keith and Kevin Sentell and one granddaughter, Christina Sentell. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lyle E. Alford officiating. Burial will follow at the Qulin Cemetery.
